QuikVue Plus Design Concept

It is well acknowledged that imaging is playing a more and more important role in veterinary ophthalmology diagnostics.
QuikVue Plus VPA-200V is a smartphone adapter designed especially for anterior eye segment imaging of the animals. It provides 10X magnification which meets the basic eye examination demand for veterinarian needs. The specially designed optical lens enables QuikVue Plus to capture clear anterior images for primary eye care examination and telemedicine.
The device weighs only a few grams and is conveniently attached to your phone while shooting. Photographing and photo comparison during treatment allows the doctor to demonstrate the dynamics of the process to the owner.

White and Blue Illumination

QuikVue Plus provides both white and blue illumination respectively. The white LED projects warm white light which is similar to slit lamp’s halogen illumination. There are two levels of white illumination available to meet different brightness demand during examination. The blue illumination can be used to capture fluorescein images to assist diagnosis with corneal staining and contact lens fitting, etc.

Integrated Yellow Filter

QuikVue Plus is equipped with an integrated yellow filter. The flipable yellow filter making it easy for clinicians to take enhanced fluorescein images with cobalt blue illumination. This function is especially useful in lens fitting, cornea ulcer imaging, tear film break up time examination, etc.

Smartphone Compatibility

Thanks to the air cushion design, QuikVue Plus is able to attach on most of the phones in the market firmly. Clinicians need to align QuikVue Plus lens with smartphone’s main camera. The requirements for the main camera location is as below:

Working Application

QuikVue plus can work with smartphone default camera app or VisuScience developed VisuDoc ophthalmic case management app. VisuDoc can be downloaded from both App store and Google play store.

Power Management

QuikVue Plus applies mini Li-ion rechargeable battery. It can be recharged through a Type C cable. There is one light indicator next to the Type C charging port. When the power recharging is finished, the indicator light will turn from blue to green.

The switch button has blue light on when working normally. If the power is low, the light will flicker to remind clinicians to do recharge.

Leopard eye? Of course not) the leopard has a uniformly golden iris and a round pupil.This is a cat's eye, but it has a hyperpigmentation of the iris, in the form of beautiful marble spots. Although beautiful, it is not a good disease - diffuse iris melanoma (malignant neoplasm). Diagnosis confirmed by iris biopsy. After receiving its results, it is possible to recommend the removal of the eyeball in order to insure against metastases.

Oeil de léopard ? Bien sûr que non) le léopard a un iris uniformément doré et une pupille ronde. C'est un oeil de chat, mais il a une hyperpigmentation de l'iris, sous forme de belles taches de marbre. Bien que beau, ce n'est pas une bonne maladie - mélanome diffus de l'iris (néoplasme malin). Diagnostic confirmé par biopsie de l'iris. Après avoir reçu ses résultats, il est possible de recommander l'ablation du globe oculaire afin de s'assurer contre les métastases.

Aunque hermosa, no es una buena enfermedad: melanoma difuso de iris (neoplasia maligna). Diagnóstico confirmado por biopsia de iris. Después de recibir sus resultados, es posible recomendar la extracción del globo ocular para asegurarse contra metástasis.

Este é um olho de gato, mas tem uma hiperpigmentação da íris, na forma de lindas manchas de mármore. Embora bonita, não é uma boa doença - melanoma difuso da íris (neoplasia maligna). Diagnóstico confirmado por biópsia da íris. Depois de receber os resultados, é possível recomendar a retirada do globo ocular para prevenir metástases.

Luipaard oog? Natuurlijk niet) het luipaard heeft een uniform gouden iris en een ronde pupil. Dit is een kattenoog, maar het heeft een hyperpigmentatie van de iris, in de vorm van prachtige marmeren vlekken. Hoewel het mooi is, is het geen goede ziekte - diffuus irismelanoom (kwaadaardig neoplasma). Diagnose bevestigd door irisbiopsie. Na ontvangst van de resultaten is het mogelijk om de verwijdering van de oogbol aan te bevelen om te verzekeren tegen metastasen.

This cat has uveitis, an inflammation of the choroid, in particular the iris. This is noticeable in the red vessels on the colored golden membrane of the eye, as well as in the delightful dark precipitates with white edging on the corneal endothelium (protein clots). This problem has been developing for 3 months, so we assume a systemic cause.

Ceci est perceptible dans les vaisseaux rouges sur la membrane dorée colorée de l'œil, ainsi que dans les délicieux précipités sombres avec une bordure blanche sur l'endothélium cornéen (caillots de protéines).
